Engineering-educated Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with 30 years in manufacturing and distribution
Industry-proven methodologies to enable your team to reach break-through results.
After nearly 3 decades in industry and consulting with Big 4 firms, Mike formed Lasso Consulting LLC in 2018. He now has over 30 years of experience helping dozens of manufacturers, distributors and service providers do more with less by identifying and eliminating waste. His solutions have helped businesses in manufacturing (including automotive, aerospace/defense, electronics, food packaging, hygienic materials and pharmaceutical), distribution, transportation, and health care services.
Mike helps businesses articulate their strategy and align the leadership team on the priorities and projects that will achieve their objectives. After priorities are established, Mike is highly skilled in project definition, timeline planning and resource alignment. He has extensive experience all phases of product lifecycle: from new product development, production launch, production ramp-up through to end-of-life and service/support.
Mike has led plants through their adoption of lean manufacturing methods and incorporation of operational excellence in all aspects of the plant (including procurement, materials management, production, quality, maintenance and shipping). He is adept with the leading business operating systems and has coached dozens of teams in their deployment and execution.
In 1990, Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with High Honors while majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Operations Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. He received his certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS in 1992 and he earned his Six Sigma Blackbelt designation in 2007. He has previously been a youth sports coach and (despite his current state of residence) he is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
